Concentration:

Mr. Arnold was admitted to practice law in November, 1974, and has earned recognition as one of Alabama’s pre-eminent matrimonial attorneys. He concentrates in financially and legally complex matrimonial matters as well as disputed child custody matters.


Mr. Arnold practices regularly in the Alabama State Courts, primarily in Jefferson, Shelby and Tuscaloosa counties. His skills as a trial attorney and his ability to achieve settlements, either through direct negotiation or mediation, have well served his clients’ interests for many years.

Mr. Arnold has participated in numerous significant and precedent–setting cases at the trial and appellate court levels.

Prior to White Arnold & Dowd:

From 1993 – 2003, Mr. Arnold was affiliated as a solo practitioner with White, Dunn and Booker, the predecessor to White Arnold & Dowd.

From 1979 – 1993, Mr. Arnold was a partner in the firm of Durward and Arnold, concentrating solely in the area of matrimonial law.

From 1974 – 1979, Mr. Arnold was a partner in the firm of Jones, Arnold & Roden, engaging in a broad general practice resulting in the beginning of his specialization in matrimonial law.
