Lara Sykes Walters joined the law firm of White Arnold & Dowd P.C. in 2004. Ms. Walters graduated from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law in 2002, where she served as a member of the American Journal of Trial Advocacy and as a Teaching Fellow in Legal Research and Writing and Street Law. She was recognized on the Dean’s List and was a finalist in the James O. Haley Federal Court Competition and the Moot Court Competition. She is a member of the Birmingham Bar Association and the Birmingham Young Lawyer’s Association. During law school, Ms. Walters served as a law clerk at White, Dunn & Booker.
Prior to entering law school, Ms. Walters worked with Alabama Public Television, managing the “Ready to Learn” Program, a local outreach program that raises funding and advocates for children’s educational television programming.
